The film deals with the idea of storytelling and the storyteller. It is about a writer who is trying to imagine a fictional character.

JIM

So I'm on this voyage right. But then I'm not, because...

 

HER

(Interrupts) Well that's neither here nor there.

(Pauze)

So this voyage... where will it take you?

 

JIM

I never get there.

 

HER

Why? What happens?

 

JIM

I lose myself. You see, I should never have gone.

 

HER

Do you die?
